  12. O.k. heres the situation, I obtained an Amiga 1000 and 500 from a friend and 
  13. no
  14. software was included.  So, I am lost.. without a manual or software.. I would
  15. really like to try a few things out with the Amiga and could use some good
  16. advice.

  18. 1st. What is "Kickstart"? is it amiga's DOS?  
  19. 2nd. Can Kickstart be transferred to a disk (Is it like a system disk?)
  20. 3rd. How do I get it and how expensive would it be?
  21.      From what I have seen, I will also need workbench.. How do I get that?

  23. Neither of the Amiga's has a hard drive.. So I'm not sure how useful they will
  24. be.. I am somewhat interested in upgrading them for as cheaply as possible.
